Hello and Welcome to Cocheco Lacrosse. Here is some helpful information related to the 2026 season:
- 2026 Season cost is $230. 2 Girls and 2 Boys Scholarships are available from the club. Please inquire as to what assistance may be needed (financial, equipment, etc.) - cochecolax603@gmail.com

- Our season starts in early March with pre-season practices twice per week
- Pre-season practices will be Tuesday and Thursday's from 6-8pm under the lights at UNH on one of their turf fields. Age groups will have 1hr slots within the 6-8pm window. U8 groups may practice for shorter time frames weather permitting. The cost of turf rental in the pre-season is covered by your registration fee.
- When we transition to our home location at the Strafford County Courthouse fields, our u10 and u12 age groups will have a change in practice schedule from Tues/Thurs to Mon/Wed. This is due to field space availability and daylight restrictions once we get over there. We try to minimize disruptions at all costs, but we need to utilize all 4-5 days of the week once we move to our facility in order to provide adequate space and time to each team.
- The regular season kicks-off with a lacrosse festival in Epping in late March, called LaxJam. Cocheco covers the cost of the tournament as part of your registration fee.
- Kids will receive a Cocheco game day reversible jersey as part of your registration fee, every other year. If you played last year, you will use the uniform you received last year. Only 1st year players in 2026 will receive a new game jersey from the club. If you have lost your 2025 jersey or need to size up, please reach out to us. An optional shooter shirt is available for purchase at $30 during the checkout process.
- Boy's will need to be outfitted with a helmet, mouth guard, stick, NOCSAE approved shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, cup and cleats.
- Girls will need to be outfitted with an eye cage, stick and mouth guard
- Our boys and girls u8 programs will play in the Seacoast Area Youth Lacrosse League (SAYLL) so that game travel will only be in the seacoast within 20 minutes or so and they will play 6 v 6 small field.
- Our U10 girls and boys will play in the New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association (NHYLA), with games on Sundays, all within about 60-80 minutes from Dover. This age group will play 6v6 small field. If numbers allow for it our U10 boys will field a full field 10v10 team.
- Our u12 and u14 boys and girls will play in NHYLA with games on Sundays within 60-80 minutes from Dover and will play 10v10 or 12v12 full field play.
- Our home field is the Strafford County complex (Commissioners Field) in Dover, NH, where we have two small fields and one full field that we share with Dover Youth Football.
- Once our home field is ready, we move practices from UNH to the county complex in Dover.
- We work hard to coordinate with middle school coaches so that our u14 players have the opportunity to play for both Cocheco and their middle school if they are looking for more stick time.
IMPORTANT: U14 Boys program will be capped initially at 20 players to make sure we have the right numbers for teams. In years past we have had 25-30 kids in this group which is way too many to have on the sideline for games as playing time becomes an issue. It's also not quite enough for 2 teams. We will waitlist players for free, and if we can hit 35, we will invoice the waitlisted players and launch a second u14 boys team.
